Fujimoto and Arrietty, two of my favorite Miyazaki characters.
for this set of Crossovers, Arrietty will serve as my Spella, in giving some glances into their life together:
The first ride down to Fujimoto's ocean castle where she will now be living in order to continue her training. it's a big and somewhat scary transition to make. neither of them are quite sure how to comfort the other.
Fujimoto apologizes for the mess of his home, he's not used to having someone else to entertain for. at least his study is rather clean.
in order for her to learn magic properly Spella must learn to trust her instructor. through their work the two grow very close. a bond is made between tutor and student, and love is found, as well a partnership that will fuel their power and make them stronger.
hehe, just for funsies!!
and an excuse to do some more art with Fujimoto, the most handsome ginger i've evah seen!

I absolutely love this! Well crafted and well chosen snippets from both movies, and you blend them in so seamlessly. I was doubly excited to come across this, becaues great minds think alike! The oddest thing is I had a similar idea for a Fujimoto type character and a young girl with incredible powers way back in 2012. The first two pictures are perfect for my story -- her riding in his underground boat and him cleaning a space for her. I did it in a series of short snippets. I never did finish the story though ... perhaps your drawings can bring me moments to continue!
